In a letter, 1852 June 23, to the Rev. Edward Norris Kirk, Charles Scribner, Sr., discusses Kirk's copyright for "Gaussen on inspiration" and an unauthorized edition printed by John S. Taylor. Charles Scribner, Jr., writes to a Mr. Paul concerning Paul's account of General Philip Sheridan. He sends a list of "Stanley Stories" to S.S. McClure on April 14, 1893.
